Newly re-opened to the public, the estate is set in a steep-sided valley, with seven lakes and a unique combination of woodland forest, rock garden and parkland, with a rare colony of wallabies and a number of deer species that roam throughout the estate. The rich flora in the garden was planted by Sir Edmund Loder, a pioneering Victorian collector. The plantation included a unique collection of Rhododendrons and Azaleas and many species of trees giving the garden its renowned reputation. A magical world in miniature awaits you at the famous “Beyond the Dolls’ House” exhibition, located by the main courtyard.
