Chalkwell's £3,559 for Air Ambulance

Sittingbourne-based coach and bus operator Chalkwell has announced that the sum raised for its charity of the year, Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance, has totalled £3,559 for 2015.

Chalkwell has also confirmed that the Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance is again their chosen charity for 2016 – the company’s 85th anniversary.

One of the major fundraising events of 2015 was a 25 mile sponsored cycle challenge which raised nearly £1,000 for Air Ambulance.

The challenge was completed by Chalkwell Operations Manager Andy Bates, Driving Instructor Alasdair Thain and his friend Cormac McMahon.

Said Julie Clare, Head of Corporate Relations at Kent Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance:  “This will be the third year running that Chalkwell has chosen us as their charity partner and we are extremely grateful for their continued support.”
